Dog Biting
I got bitten by a dog once. So when my wife spoke about getting a dog from the local animal shelter, to say the truth, I wasn’t exactly thrilled. Even if you haven’t met my wife, it might not surprise you (especially if you’re married…) that clearly it was not a real question whether she would get what she wanted or not. To tell the truth, I liked him from the start: a lovely little cross that was called Eddie. I felt relieved that Eddie was amiable and fun. I didn’t even mind that he began to bark at my wife’s friends when they called, to the point that hardly anybody would visit us anymore and fear of dogs became popular among my wife’s friends, but then Eddie tried to sink his teeth into the leg of my best friend Tom and there was no doubt that we had a problem: Eddie was not that peaceful a dog.
What a bummer! So there I was, my dream come true in nightmarish style, and I didn’t have a clue what to do. Luckily, my collegue Richard, a long-time dog owner, recommended me some dog training courses to aid me deal with this hostile demeanor.
However, by far the best course I found is Secrets to Dog Training. Let me explain you why.
I won’t beat around the bush. For me, the information in this course worked. Say no more. And I’m afraid this was not the case with many products I bought online.
But helping me to overcome my dog’s aggression problems wasn’t the only thing this course did for me. I additionally learned many things about related topics:
- How to teach basic and advanced commands
- How to establish yourself as the pack leader
- Behavioral problems like chewing, barking, digging, etc
- New-owner advice
- Grooming
Also, there is a video included. Personally, I’m not a great reader, but I love videos. In this video, first you get to see an example of problematic conduct, then how this particular comportment can be resolved. We are not talking about a theoretical solution, but a practical one. You can literally start right away. We didn’t complain about the price, either. It’s 60 bucks ($59.95 exactly), but there seems to be a promotional price of 40 bucks (ok, $39.95 exactly) that is available at regular intervals. To be fair, I consider the actual value of this course far higher, especially because they give you loads of extra material free of charge that would sell easily on their own. I was lucky to also get free access to their members only community, although I don’t know if it’s still available. In case you are afraid to lose your money on something that is not for you, they offer a 60 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE, so there is nothing to fear.
